Advancement Director
Summary
The full time or part time Advancement Director raises the necessary non-tuition funds to operate and grow Chesterton Academy of Sacramento.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties
Design and implement a comprehensive fundraising program, including establishing fundraising campaigns, planned giving programs, and corporate and foundation proposals.
Create materials, publications and maintain social media platforms to market the school, communicate with various stakeholders and broaden the base of exposure for the school.
Oversee all aspects of the school's fundraising events, including the Annual Gala. Work closely with volunteers, including parents, students, and staff.
Develop and coordinate all aspects of the major gifts campaign, including meeting in person with potential major donors and obtaining major gifts from them.
Develop program to solicit major benefactors, foster increased support from existing donors and maintain key relationships in the community.
Identify new and creative sources of funding.
Oversee processing of all donations, generate gift acknowledgements, and maintain giving records of donors to the school.
Develop and execute plan to increase alumni and parent support and involvement.

The Advancement Director maintains the following working relationships:
The Advancement Director reports directly to the CEO.
The Advancement Director maintains a consultative, collaborative relationship with the Board of Directors, faculty, staff and stakeholders (both internal and external) of Chesterton Academy of Sacramento.
Requirements
The Advancement Director must be a practicing Roman Catholic.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree.
Salary:
Dependent on experience.
Desirable skills:
Previous experience in non-profit fundraising and office/business administration; strong analytical, organizational and planning skills; excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with Bloomerang or other donor management software.
