Director of Youth Ministry

We are looking for a passionate, experienced youth ministry coordinator who is ready for a challenge. We are three parishes in Elk Grove (Good Shepherd, St. Joseph, St. Maria Goretti) looking for a dynamic leader to coordinate youth ministry teams in our parishes. Our goal is to introduce the youth ages 11-17 and their families to Jesus, help them grow in their faith, make young disciples, improve participation of youth and their families in parish life, foster vocational discernment, and to develop young leaders for our parish ministries through a comprehensive program of small group meetings, large group meetings, trips and regional events. Director will supervise a team of part time paid and volunteer coordinators and collaborate with other paid and volunteer ministry leaders that serve youth. Director will also collaborate regularly with the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School and local public and Catholic high schools. Position requires regular evening and weekend work with Sunday being a regular workday. Ideal candidate has 5 years' experience as a paid parish youth ministry coordinator, is energetic and passionate about their faith, holds at least a BA degree, is an effective communicator to both teens, young adults and parents, enjoys a fast-paced, team oriented work environment, has experience working with youth and families from a variety of backgrounds and cultures, and is excited about building something new and exciting. Annual salary is $64,480-$74,480 yr.
