Rectory Cook Position Description: Part-time (15 hours per week) Hourly salary DOE SUPERVISOR: Administrator
Position Purpose: The purpose of this position is to provide overall management of the rectory meals . I. MAJOR DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provides rectory meals as arranged by resident clergy, and occasional meals hosted by priests. 2. Shops regularly to maintain stock of healthy and delicious food for priests, communicating with priests as to their personal preferences and/or dietary needs. Works with business manager to plan and assure compliance with budget. 3. This position requires the ability, in various amounts of time, to walk, stand, reach, bend and carry bags of groceries and other items. Ability to lift 25 pounds. 4. Clean up of kitchen and utensils.
II. EXPECTED QUALITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS 1. Baptized member of a Catholic parish faith community. 2. Commitment to the mission of the parish. 3. Excellent written and oral communication skills. 4. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. 5. Demonstrated ability to recognize and honor diversity within the parish community. Able to honor and maintain confidentiality. 6. Must receive live scan clearance prior to employment. 7. Valid California driver's license and provide evidence of automobile insurance. 8. Able to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
