Provides technical support to all staff, employees, and volunteers during normal business and non-business hours. Manages livestream, lighting and audio systems for liturgical and other events.
Major Position Responsibilities:
IT
Installs, maintains & performs scheduled maintenance / updates all IT inventory including personal computers, devices, network equipment, servers & peripherals such as Wi-Fi routers and printers.
Record, track and document help desk requests, problem solving including actions taken.
Respond to after-hours emergency alerts and remote access when needed
Maintains inventory of all hardware and consumables used
Installs and maintains software applications used by church and staff.
Manage Office 365, two factor authentication, email administration, both internal and external users.
Works in conjunction with Pastor and Director of Evangelization and Discipleship on IT-related projects by providing consultation and recommendations on future planning.
AV
Installs, maintains and sets up all audiovisual equipment used for church purposes.
Schedule, train, and supervise a team of volunteers to operate A/V systems during weekend liturgies, weddings, funerals and other sacraments.
BAsic understanding of audio systems, including microphones, mixers, ampliphiers and video systems
Assist in AV setups as needed for video filming and ministry / parish events.
Live Stream
Schedule streaming calendar and Aja Helo streaming server and adjust as needed
Collaborate with Communications to assure all slates and pre-rolls for streams are edited and uploaded.
Maintain online streaming company archives to keep below 300 Gb threshold - download masses as need to archival to local drive under Archdiocesan archiving procedures.
Other
Works with external Infrastructure Service Providers to enhance or reduce cost for equipment or services.
Knowledgeable in the user aspect of all major device operating systems (Windows, Mac, iOS, Android).
Resolves hardware/software problems on individual PC's.
Responsible for keeping all devices in an efficient and functional state.
Maintains inventory of all hardware and consumables used.
Refers to Director of Evangelization and Discipleship for purchasing equipment/services, proposed improvements and changes as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Pastor, Dir of Evangelization and Discipleship and not limited to those listed.
Skills. Knowledge and Abilities:
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher) and Microsoft Office365 Administration
Proficient in Microsoft Server Operating systems, Malware protection, Firewalls and VPN.
Have a solid knowledge of Windows OS.
Proficient in graphic design and multimedia software.
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines
Bilingual preferred
Minimum Experience
College graduate or equivalent of 3-5 years in IT and AV
